Three Special Edition Attesa Models, All Inspired by The Moon, Have Been Unveiled By Citizen

Citizen Watch is preparing to introduce a collection of three exclusive Attesa models. These watches are the outcome of a partnership with ispace inc., a corporate collaborator of the Hakuto-R commercial lunar exploration initiative. These models are influenced by the moon and incorporate advanced technologies.

The three new models, CC4065-61Y, BY1008-67L, and BY1009-64Y, exemplify how ispace's lunar knowledge and Citizen's cutting-edge technology have come together. The lunar surface influences the designs, as it is the final destination of the Hakuto-R lunar spacecraft.

2010 saw the beginning of the Hakuto-R programme, which was begun by Ispace, a publicly traded firm that focuses on lunar exploration and technology development. Additionally, Citizen became a corporate sponsor in the year 2019.

One of the most important components of the Hakuto-R programme, Mission 1 of ispace, set out for the moon in December 2022 as the first commercial lander. Information gathered during the flight was crucial for the program's following efforts to land on the moon. Citizen will once again provide its Super Titanium technology for the landing legs of the lunar lander in the future Mission 2, which is planned to launch later this year.

The design of the new timepieces embodies the lunar impact on the Hakuto-R program. The CC4065-61Y model distinguishes itself with its complete mother-of-pearl dial, which is a unique feature within the Attesa collection. To imitate the surface patterns of the moon, mother-of-pearl is layered over a colored substrate.

The recrystallized titanium used to create the bracelet's central links gives it a textured, strikingly beautiful appearance reminiscent of moonlight.

The designs of BY1008-67L and BY1009-64Y showcase a vibrant and modern aesthetic that draws inspiration from the groundbreaking technological advancements of ispace's Hakuto-R programme and Citizen's impressive development capabilities. The dial features textured ink that beautifully replicates the rough texture of the moon's surface. Additionally, the Lunar Program functionality is designed to accurately calculate and display the moon phase automatically.

The cutting-edge F950 movement from Citizen powers these models, offering a multitude of features including the fastest GPS satellite signal reception in the world—it can pick up a signal in just three seconds.

This collection represents the strong partnership between Citizen and ispace, constantly pushing the limits of technology. It brings the enchantment and intrigue of the moon to wristwatches that capture the essence of lunar exploration. Starting at just £1,450 in retail stores across the UK.
